Bung should help, not dispute MA63 to realize Sabah, Sarawak’s rights

KOTA BELUD: Sabah Umno liaison chief Datuk Bung Moktar Radin should help and not dispute Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) to realize Sabah and Sarawak’s rights as promised by the party to implement the agreement 100 percent during the Kimanis by-election.

Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR) Sabah supreme council member Ir Awang Saleh Makmud said Bung able to help based on the party’s capacity in the Federal Government besides the people of Sabah had also given victory to the Umno candidate in the Kimanis by-election.

“Now is the time for Umno as the leader of the Federal Government to fulfill the rights of Sabah and Sarawak as contained in MA63,” said Awang Saleh who is also the head of STAR Pintasan Division.

According to Awang Saleh, the people had given support to the demands for the rights of Sabah and Sarawak in MA63 and Bung is able to urge the Federal Government to fulfill what the party has promised to the people of Sabah.

Awang Salleh, who is also the chairman of the STAR Unity and Integration Bureau, commented on Bung’s reaction to MA63 during the Sabah Barisan Nasional (BN) Convention after attending a Kaamatan celebration here.

The celebration was officiated by Ardino Diris as the deputy chairman of Safoda who is also the assistant secretary-general of STAR and treasurer of the Sabah People’s Coalition (GRS).

Also present were STAR Tempasuk Division head Suwah Buleh and STAR Kadamaian Division deputy chief Marcus Labit.

Awang Saleh stressed that the MA63 struggle is a realization of the idealism of STAR founder Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey G Kitingan which has now been adopted as the basis of the GRS struggle.
